I was finally able to get out for the first time this season in my new Apparition. The divers have made it to Utah yet in big numbers but on Friday 4 of us were able to get 25 birds from the layout boat. Most of them were gadwalls but we did manage a few red heads and ruddy ducks. Even with the weather being beautiful, 70 degrees and sunny it was a fun hunt.
On Saturday, 2 of us went out and we shot a 2 man limit before noon. Again mostly puddlers but we did get a couple reds and a couple ruddys as well.
Well the Youth hunt is finally here. I will be taking out a 13 year old young lady and her father tomorrow morning as part of the Delta Waterfowl and Utah DWR Mentoring program. The weather is looking windy and rainy. It should be a great day. Photos to follow.
